CORIE, a pilot Environmental Observation and Forecasting System (EOFS) for the COlumbia RIver Estuary and adjacent coastal waters, is under development at the OGI School of Science & Engineering by an interdisciplinary team under the scientific direction of Prof. António Baptista. A number of CSE research groups are key to the development of this project.
The Forest Project is an Adaptive Management Portal/Collaboration with EBS and MST departments and the US Forest Service: We are building a Web-based system to provide easy access to forest information for use by natural resource managers, scientists, and other interested parties in the Pacific Northwest.
To demonstrate the results of the Timber project in a concrete setting, we have designed and constructed an experimental robot vehicle called "Timbot," the Timber robotic monster truck.
