Registering and Recording Grades for Off-Campus Classes
Any classes that are not listed as part of the degree requirements must have prior approval by a OGI, CSEE faculty. It is possible to e-mail CSEE's Academic Coordinator to obtain approval. Please include the course you wish to take, location, and how you would like it to fit into your program. You will receive an e-mail response from the department. (See Waive or Transfer for details regarding transferring courses.)
Only 18 total credits of off-campus courses may be applied toward your degree.
For a PSU or OCATE class
You will need to register directly with PSU or OCATE. When you have completed the class, you will need to order an official transcript from that institution be sent to OGI. You also need to complete the Petition for Transfer of Credit form and turn it into OGI's Graduate Education office for the class to count toward your degree.
For an OMSE class
Students may register for OMSE courses through OGI as long as they are listed on the class schedule. The course will be included on your OGI transcript. Students registering for OMSE courses at OGI will pay the OGI tuition rate.
