Academic Calendar
Important dates, such as when registration starts, the first day of each term and recognized holidays, can be found on the academic calendar.
How to Register
You may register online or by submitting a completed registration form in person or by fax. To register online, please visit the online registration page. From there, you can access the course schedule, register for courses and assess your tuition. Students new to OGI and not yet admitted to a program should first complete the Non-Degree Application Form to establish a student account.
Registration Hours
Current students may register online using ISIS Online. The Department of Graduate Education is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. As an added convenience for our students, the Department of Graduate Education will be open for extended registration hours, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m, on Monday through Thursday of the first week of each term.
Late Registration Fees
All late registration fees are nonrefundable.
A late fee will be charged for registrations received as of the first day of the quarter or later. The late registration fee is $35.
For MST Weekend courses, students will be charged a $35 late fee when registering after 3 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the first class meeting. A student may only add a compressed MST course after it has begun with the instructor's permission.

Payment Options
All tuition and applicable fees are charged to your student account at the time you register. Your student account is due the second Monday following the beginning of the academic quarter. Any tuition and fees not paid by the due date will be charged interest. Student accounts must be paid in full in order to register for subsequent quarters. To make a payment to your student account you may use the following methods:
Online Payment
Tuition and fees may be paid on line through your ISIS Online account using Mastercard or VISA. Once logged into ISIS, you can find the online payment option by following Student Services > Student Records > Account Summary and Make On-Line Payment.

Adding a Course
The online registration option is available to add a course through
the first week of the quarter. Following the first week, all courses
must be added directly through the Department of Graduate
Education at grad_ed@admin.ogi.edu or calling (503) 748-1382.
Quarter-long Courses
The instructor's written permission is required to add a quarter-long
course after the first week of the quarter. You may add a course through
the fourth week of the quarter.
MST Compressed Weekend Courses
The instructor's written permission is required to add a compressed
weekend course after the first class meeting.
Online Courses
The last date to add a distance learning course is the Friday prior to the start of the course. Exceptions to this policy require special permission from the academic department offering the course.
Dropping a Course/Refund Schedule
To drop a course you must officially modify your registration by either
dropping the course online or by contacting the Department of Graduate
Education. Notifying your instructor of your intent to drop or withdraw
from a course is not sufficient and may result in your receiving a failing
grade and being fully responsible for the tuition. Refunds and transcripts
are based on the date you officially modify your registration, not the
date of last attendance. Courses dropped during the designated refund
period will not appear on your transcript. Courses dropped outside of
the refund period will be listed on your transcript as a withdrawal.
Students may withdraw from OGI courses at any time before the final
exam or the last class meeting for classes without final exams.
Quarter-long Courses
A 100% tuition refund will be given if you drop a quarter-long course
by the end of the second week of the quarter. Dropping before the
end of the fourth week of the quarter will result in a 50% refund.
No refunds will be provided for dropping a course after the fourth
week of the quarter.
MST Compressed Weekend Courses
You have until 5:00 p.m. on the Friday after the first weekend of
class to drop and still receive a 100% refund. Dropping by 5:00 p.m.
on the Friday after the second weekend of class will result in a 50%
refund. After that, there is no refund for dropped compressed weekend
courses.
Online Courses
You will receive a 100% refund if you drop a distance learning course
by the end of the second week that the course has met. Please note
that there is no 50% refund time period for these courses and no refund
will be issued for requests to withdraw which are received after the
close of business on the Friday of the second week this course has
been in session.
Changing Credit/Audit Status
Any request to change credit/audit status must be submitted in writing
to the Graduate Education Department. Requests received during
the first six weeks of the quarter do not need the instructor's signature.
Students may change status after the first six weeks and before the
final exam (or last class meeting for classes without exams) by submitting
a request that includes the instructor's written permission. Status
cannot be changed after the final exam (or last class meeting for classes
without exams).
Cancellation Policy
The OGI School reserves the right to cancel any course due to low
enrollment or other scheduling issues. If the OGI
School cancels a course, a 100% refund will be issued.
Full Time Status
Matriculated students are considered full-time when they register and
pay for nine or more credit hours per quarter. Audit units do not count
toward fulltime status.
Grades
Grades are due to the Department of Graduate Education by the Friday following the last day of the final exam week. Grade reports will be mailed to students the following Wednesday. Grades can also be accessed through your online student account shortly after they are submitted.
Transcript Requests
All requests
for transcripts must be in writing-with the student's
signature- and be submitted by fax, mail, or in person to the
Department of Graduate Education or OHSU's Registrar's Office.
Official transcripts cost $12 per copy when ordered 48 hours in advance
and $17 for same-day service or faxed copy. Unofficial transcripts may
be obtained online through your online student account.
Key Cards/Student ID/Access to Buildings
Students are encouraged to get an OGI student ID/card key, which is available to all registered students at no charge. Contact your department (BME, CSEE, EBS, MST) administrator to request an OGI/OHSU student ID/card key.
Student card keys will be automatically deactivated the Monday following finals. Card keys for students enrolled in research will not be deactivated. If you are a non-research student and need continued access between quarters, please have your advisor contact Donna Reed at 503-748-1178 or reeddo@ohsu.edu. Card keys should be returned to the Graduate Education office when you have completed your OGI course work.
Copying Facilities
Students may use the copy machine in the library; copies
are 10¢ per page. Matriculated students should contact their academic coordinator for information regarding other copying options.
Release of Information
In accordance with federal law, the Oregon Health & Sciences University
has adopted rules to govern the gathering, use, and disclosure of student
records, with the aim of guaranteeing the privacy of such records. Most
of the records that OHSU maintains with regard to a student can be disclosed
without the student's written consent only to the student, OHSU
officials, financial aid sponsors (when the student has applied for
or received aid), or government agencies upon receipt of lawful subpoenas.
OHSU can, however, release "directory" information www.ohsu.edu/registrar/regtorestricdirinfo.pdf without
obtaining a student's prior consent. A student can request that directory
information not be disclosed by filing a written request with the OHSU Registrar's Office.
Veteran Affairs Benefit
For information regarding benefits available for veterans, please contact
the OHSU Financial Aid office at (503) 494-7800 or finaid@ohsu.edu.
Equal Opportunity
OHSU is committed to providing equal opportunity and access to all
institute facilities to everyone without regard to race, color, religion,
gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran's
status.
OSHU has established an Affirmative Action Program to ensure that nondiscrimination
is a pervasive part of the institute's environment.
